Walri

"Walri?" It's the question everyone's asking. And the answer is YES.

Walri is the rock band you've been waiting for. Seamlessly melding eclectic influences ranging from Brazilian Bossa Nova to the laid back soul of early funk to the clever pop of bands such as The Beatles and Belle & Sebastian, Walri draws from all places and time periods, with a touch of 60's psychedalia and a bluesy edge. Trained at the Eastman School of Music and on the frigid streets of Rochester, Walri find their own warmth with a positive vibe, trickling down through songs of a variety of styles and genres into what they call Love-Rock.

In addition to the numerous tours the boys have taken to Boston, Burlington, New York City, and Chicago, Walri have been making quite a large splash in Western NY, opening for DR. DOG last summer in Rochester. They played in Buffalo several times this past year, including a surprise family-style folk set at the Infringement Festival last year, and shows at Merlin's, Staples, and Nietzche's.

Also expect surprise appearances of Walri's bizarro twin band, the Windsor Folk Family, and their twisted sister band, the Berkshire Buskers.
