Remnants (series #1) is a collection of junk media: words and images from a pair of automated slide projectors. Ideally, Remnants would be an open space installation piece. It is non-narrative and not intended as a movie, video or destination. Remnants can be projected on the side of a building or a wall in a public area. It is meant to be consumed in passing, like digital graffiti. It can be viewed with or without a music accompaniment.
The words and images presented are cultural icons, buzzwords, metadata tags, bits of microfiche and random nonsense. The slide projectors are not in-sync and a new pair of images is presented at any time. Runtime is approximately 4-5 minutes before images begin to recycle.
