The Cashier's Manifesto

"The Cashier 's Manifesto" is a short play about the fresh hell that is working in retail. Developed by The Honesty Theater, this darkly funny piece dives into an average cashier's daily agonies - insufferable tasks, rude people, and handling damp dollar bills (among other indignities). Written from the ensemble's collective experiences behind the counter, this show might just start a worker's revolution (or at least make you take an extra three minutes on your next break) . Come for the war stories, stay for the final reading of the Manifesto - in which the Cashier declares her humanity, and publicly decries the sins of the Customer!
