- Description
- Produced in a series of other one-act play collections called “Collision Course”, at the Circle Repertory Company in 1969, this 17-page work was written by one of America’s best post-modern and Pulitzer Prize winning playwrights, Lanford Wilson. The one-act takes the audience on a journey of one man’s life beginning with early adulthood, manhood and ultimately death. In the journey, the audience witnesses the simplicity of existence, the greater context of life and how trivial our being is if we chose to take a straight path as opposed to “wandering”. With literary design by Matthew LaChiusa, “The Wandering” has a prolog consisting of selected quotes from Stephen Hawking with a bizarre twist of events developing as the epilog moves into Wilson’s one-act. The play is directed by LaChiusa and features the acting talents of Nick Dostal, Katie Germain and Josh Snyder.
