AnnouncementsThe 2007 Buffalo Infringement Festival is going on NOW, in more than 25 venues throughout Buffalo. Now it's time for YOU to help us get the word out to everyone you know. Pick up your very own festival brochure at any of our official venues or at one of many convenient locations in and around Allentown, check back here often for the latest updates, give and get feedback on our festival blog and get ready to INFRINGE ON...and start enjoying the next 11 days of art under the radar in our biggest, Infringy-est festival yet!!! Don't forget to join us for the Infringement Happiest Hour at La Tee Da (206 Allen) from 10-11 p.m. every night of the festival except Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Our next organizers' meeting will be Tuesday, August 7th, at 6 pm in the back room of Staples, a.k.a. the bar at "Spirits of Allentown" (near the corner of Allen and Wadsworth). This will be our wrap up meeting for the festival and will be the last time we officially gather until we start planning for next year's festival. Meetings are open to all -- come give us your feedback on the festival. Tell us what you think worked, what could be better and share all your fantastic ideas to make 2008 even better! Other newsThe festival was awarded a Certificate of Excellence at the 2007 Arties, the annual theater awards sponsored by Artvoice, for "supporting a breadth of new performance and independent production in Buffalo." Kelly Beuth won an Artie Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Play for her performance of Ramona and Juliet presented in the Buffalo 2006 Infringement Festival. |
