Stories are recollections. Subversations collects these stories, mashes them up, and retells a super-story using controlled, randomized computational models. How it works: 1. Tell/record your story and upload it to the site 2. Musician/Technologist/Otherist Brian Fending slices & dices 3. A custom-built program reassembles your story with those of others, creating a Superstory that is different every time it's 'told' by the computer. Stories so far have been submitted from Buffalo, Baltimore, Berkley, Washington DC and beyond! NOTE: Story submissions are closed at this time, and we have a lot of great stories from which to generate our Superstory! It's been different every time the computer practices it, so please come out to experience the re-re-re-retelling! location: Squeaky Wheel, Buffalo, NY cost: $3 Sun, 30 Jul 2006, 5:00pm [PREMIER] Thu, 3 Aug 2006, 7:30pm |
