Proposals
PROPOSALS ARE DUE APRIL 1, 2006.
(We are no longer accepting submissions for the 2006 festival as of June 20; watch this space in early 2007 for details on the next festival.)
There are several ways to submit a proposal for a performance:
- Old-fashioned paper methods:
- Pick up a form at Rust Belt Books, or print a copy of EntryForm.pdf?, and
- Mail the form to Rust Belt Books/Attn Infringement Festival
202 Allen Street, Buffalo, New York 14201
- or drop the form off at Rust Belt
- High-tech electronic methods:
- e-mail all the information from the form to proposals@infringebuffalo.org
- or use our online submission form
The infringement festival is a non-commercial event devoted to independent, experimental, and politically charged presentations including (but not limited to) theater, performance art, live installation, street theater, and multi-media projects. The festival is open to performances and other events of all styles, lengths, subject matters, and genres.
Due to the expected number of activities during the festival, performers are encouraged to consider productions of 45 minutes or less, but longer presentations are welcome.
THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.
All participating artists will be asked to contribute 2 hours of "festival service" (helping with publicity, set-up, etc.) or to make a financial donation to the festival for each event they present. Presenting artists are solely responsible for all technical and operating costs and personnel involved in the production and presentation of their projects. Artists are strongly encouraged to publicize their own events. All income from projects will go directly to the artists involved.
Submissions will be accepted after the deadline, but venue options and festival-wide publicity for late entries may be extremely limited.
