Latest NewsOrganizational MeetingsNext meeting is Wednesday, Aug. 9, 6 p.m. at the Hardware Café (245 Allen Street) Meetings are open to all and we would really like to hear from everyone--artists, audience members, venue czars (and venue owners/staff), one and all. This one will be devoted to looking back at the 2006 festival in order to start planning the 2007 one (!) before we take a few months off, so please come! Festival coverageClick here to hear the "Theatre Talk" guys on WBFO discuss the festival on Friday, Aug. 5. Watch for a segment on the festival on Crossroads on Adelphia Channel 13, Wednesday, July 26 between 3 and 4 p.m. Click here to read what the Buffalo News has to say about the festival. (Hurry, before the link disappears in a few days.) Off Beat Cinema on Channel 7 aired a segment on Infringement 06 on Friday, July 21 (3am! That's extra-fringy publicity.) HousingOut-of-town performers who are looking for a place to stay during the festival should visit http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/crash-buffalo. Local people who'd like to offer a place for visiting performers to stay, please also use the Yahoo group. Additional Online ResourcesThanks to a team effort involving our newest volunteer, Brian Clark, we have a MySpace page now! It's an ideal way to help publicize the festival and individual acts within it. And while you're at it, don't forget our blog, either! This one is the place for performers to post previews of their shows and audience members to review them. We're so 21st century this year it's almost scary. Project ProposalsSubmissions for the 2006 festival are no longer being accepted. Submissions for next year will most likely be due between March 1 and April 1, 2007; check this space for confirmed deadlines and the proposal form. |
